Travis Searle Administrative Assistant, Membership/Publications
Travis joined the AAVSO headquarters staff in May of 2000. He graduated
from Emerson College in the summer of 1999 with a degree in broadcast
journalism. Before coming to the AAVSO he worked as a computer
consultant and as an editorial writer for an online web magazine. He is
responsible for handling most of the administrative tasks at Headquarters
including the management of the AAVSO Member/Observer database,
coordinating publications and mailings, and handling various bookkeeping
matters. He is also responsible for seeing to the production and
editing of the bi-annual AAVSO Newsletter.
When not in the office, Travis is involved with a number of musical
projects. He's currently in the process of recording and producing demos
for two Boston based acts as well as working with his own band. He also
enjoys running and usually spends the spring and summer participating in a
number of local races. He is a huge baseball fan religiously following
the hometown Boston Red Sox.
