8:00 am – 5:00 pm Council Meeting (council members only, includes continental breakfast & lunch)
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Registration
Friday, October 17, 2008
8:30 am Continental breakfast in meeting room, Registration opens for the day
9:00 am – 12:00 pm Data Mining Workshop
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Lunch Break
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm MMO Session: History and Current Research
6:00 pm Bus 1 leaves Nantucket Inn for MMO (Vestal campus)
6:30 pm Bus 2 leaves Nantucket Inn for MMO (Vestal campus)
6:30 pm – 10:30 pm MMO Open House/Dinner (Vestal campus)
and Star Party (Loines Observatory)
8:30 pm – 10:30 pm Bus makes trips from Vestal campus to Loines Observatory
and back to Nantucket Inn as needed
Saturday, October 18, 2008
8:30 am Continental breakfast in meeting room, Registration opens for the day
9:00 am – 11:30 pm Membership Meeting
11:30 pm – 5:30 pm Scientific Paper Session
12:00 pm – 1:30 pm Lunch Break
6:30 pm Cocktail Hour (Cheese/Crackers and Cash Bar)
7:30 pm – 10:30 pm Dinner, Awards Presentations, and
Keynote Speaker: Robert Naeye, Editor of Sky and Telescope magazine speaks on “Amateur Astronomers and Exoplanets”
Sunday, October 19, 2008
9:30 am – 11:00 am Nantucket Island Tour (bus departs from and returns to Nantucket Inn)
