Membership in the AAVSO is open to anyone who
is interested in variable stars and in contributing to the support of
valuable research. It is not required to be a member of the AAVSO
to submit your observations to the AAVSO International Database. However,
observers can make a contribution to the Association and the field of
variable star astronomy by joining. AAVSO members also receive a wide
variety of benefits.
Dues are:
- $70.00 for Annual members aged 21 and over
- $35.00 for Associate members aged under 21
- $140.00 for Sustaining members. ("sustaining" members are members
whose annual contributions actually sustain the Association)
Please note: There is also a one-time $1.00 postage fee for US, and $10.00 for overseas.
