Dues

Nova V1494 Aquilae, a classical nova, captured near maximum brightness on December 4, 1999 by Till Credner.
Membership in the AAVSO is open to anyone who is interested in variable stars and in contributing to the support of valuable research. It is not required to be a member of the AAVSO to submit your observations to the AAVSO International Database. However, observers can make a contribution to the Association and the field of variable star astronomy by joining. AAVSO members also receive a wide variety of benefits.

Dues are:

  • $70.00 for Annual members aged 21 and over
  • $35.00 for Associate members aged under 21
  • $140.00 for Sustaining members. ("sustaining" members are members whose annual contributions actually sustain the Association)

Please note: There is also a one-time $1.00 postage fee for US, and $10.00 for overseas.
