Automated photometry analysis

Hi there,

Is there a non-professional (ESO-MIDAS, IRAF, ...) software that is able to automatically measure star brightnesses for a large number of stars and images and arrange each star's numerical values into a file such that they can be plotted into a lightcurve? Doing this for 100 stars and 40 images would be a real pain. What possibilities are there for this for amateurs?

MUNIWIN

Hi,

probably MUNIWIN can do most of what you want.

It is freeware and measures all stars in one (multiple) image(s). It produces for all stars a lightcurve, but you may need to select stars as variable and comp stars.

Give it a try,

Josch
