The Blue and gold section of the AAVSO website is a password protected area reserved for AAVSO Members and AAVSO Observers. If you are an AAVSO member, you will have GOLD access to the Blue&Gold section which is unlimited access to all of the special features and programs. Some of these features include:

• Submitting Observations online (WebObs)
• Real time tally of observations submitted to date
• Access to Update Membership information
• Request to use Robotic Telescope for observing
• Submit an article to JAAVSO w/ no page charge
• Special Deals on Books and Stellar Gifts

If you are NOT a member, but you would like to contribute observations to the AAVSO, we welcome your observations! You will be able to enter this section but you will have BLUE access which limits your acces to the online submission of observations (WebObs) only. The other areas that you could access if you were a member will be greyed out and inaccessible.

If you have used our online data submission (WebObs) before, you should be ready to go here as well. Just log in with the same username and password. If you have not used WebObs before but you would like to submit observations, please register for the Blue&Gold section. If you do not yet have observer initials, you will need to request observer initials so that you can submit observations through WebObs. Once you are notified of your observer initals (processing normally takes 1-2 business days), you may then login to the Blue&Gold section using your username and password.
