I notice in the server processing que that files can be uploaded in zip and bz2 compressed file formats. I haven't had success uploading in bz2 format. I am using 7-zip for Windows to create a tar archive of my images and then compress the tar file to a bz2 file format. Is there a better way for VPhot to recognize bz2 files?

Thanks

I see there have been 70 views of this topic but no suggestions. How do you create bz2 compressed files that Vphot can recognize? I've seen bz2 files in the Vphot processing que, so I know it must work. I've tried 7-zip with no luck.

Thanks

I cleared up my bzip file compression issue. I was trying to make a bzip archive, which you can't. You can only compress single files into single bzip compressed files. I was using 7-zip and got as far as placing a bunch of fits into a tar, and then making the tar into a bz2 file, and uplaodingthat to VPhot. Obviously, Vphot didn't know what to do with the tar (I think).
