AAVSO Light Curve Generator

This is a new version of the light curve generator. The interface has changed a little, so please read it carefully. Please report bugs by sending an e-mail to aavso@aavso.org and include enough information so we may recreate the error. The old light curve generator can still be accessed here. Thanks. A light curve is a graph of brightness (usually in magnitude) vs. time (usually in Julian Date) of a variable star. The observations for these light curves come from the AAVSO International Database and cover over a hundred years of variable star observations. As of 2006, around 12.5 million observations are available for over 6,000 stars.

Dr. Robert Kirshner discusses a supernova lightcurve at the 90th Annual AAVSO Meeting. Click here to listen to the guest lecture.
