Observation Band Descriptions

The band field of the Quick Look File describes the bandpass used to make the observation. Below are the available bandpasses.

• Vis.: Visual observations
• U: Johnson U band
• V: Johnson V band (a.k.a. "photometric V")
• B: Johnson B band
• R: R band, usually Cousins R (Rc)
• I: I band, usually Cousins I (Ic)
• CV: Unfiltered CCD with a V zeropoint
• CR: Unfiltered CCD with a R zeropoint
• H: H band (NIR 2.2micron)
• J: J band (NIR 1.6micron)
• K: K band (NIR 1.2micron)
• J: J band (near infrared)
• N/A Unknown
