Eggen Card Project has a new home

The Eggen Card Project now has a forum of its own here at HQ. This will replace the google group we had been using for project communications. So bring your project questions here! I recommend that all project members subscribe to his forum so you will get all its traffic.

Details of the project are available via the home page Data menu or you can directly from here.

Quick review: we are past the one third mark indexing the cards. 4 more volunteers have joined us in the past month in response to the notice in the AAVSO Communications email. We're rolling along!

Cheers,

George

Hi George A good move ... Will you still retain the Portal? Paul

Eggen Portal

The Portal is the heart of the project, so it will always be there. At some point it may be moved to an AAVSO server along with the documentation pages. As we progress with the indexing, the value of the project and portal increases, so we want it in a secure place.

video tutorial

Friends,

I would like to point to the great video tutorial that George created on the Eggen project. It can be found on youtube under:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYwG3E51psk&feature=youtu.be

It is only 4 min long - great for those who want to get an idea on the project. Highly recommended!

Goerge, thank you for the video. And our gratitude to all the volunteers involved in this great (and challenging) project!

Best wishes - clear skies,

Stella.
