GK Persei: another dwarf nova outburst started on 23 August 2018

Another dwarf nova outburst of GK Per started yesterday (23 August 2018), as was first noticed by Klaus Wenzel (vsnet-obs 87981).

Robert Modic's (MRV) following observation (from vsnet-alert 22442) has not yet been uploaded to the AAVSO database: PERGK 20180824.260 12.22V MRV HENDEN RJM; Err 0.04; Outburst (Instruments: 80mm f/7 R w/ST-7XME (RJM))

The previous outburst of GK Persei began on 7 March 2015 and reached V= 9.8 mag.

A single nova eruption of GK Per has been recorded; it was discovered on 21 February 1901 by Thomas David Anderson.
