Hi

I just loaded 50 images using the Wizard to check the first image header. Had to make a change from CV to C then uploaded the images. But they are neither in my image list or waiting to be processed, In fact there are no images waiting. I repeated this with 10 more images with the same result, Any ideas what may be wrong.
Thanks

Images not being prcessed

Hi John,

I was working with the server just now and saw that your images was been refused.

The reason is that your user name is not part of the images, which should not be possible since you upload through VPHOT, and VPHOT is supposed to write your user name into the FITS header.

Not sure how this could happen, perhaps your session has timed out in a bad manner, or that there is something wrong with the login from the AAVSO page.

Can you please try to close the browser, log on again and upload one of the images again to see if that helps.

No change

OK, that did not help.

Do you have a different username for the aavso site than your observer initial? I know that has been an issue before, so unless Doc at HQ have fixed this without telling you need to have the same user name as initials in order for VPHOT to work, which is RJWB in your case.

Can you try to make that change and give it another go?

Access Denied to Non-Members

John,

VPHOT is a member only benefit. The reason you were not able to log in via AAVSO.org is because you are not a paid member of the AAVSO. Geir should not have granted you access without checking with the AAVSO staff first. Please do not use VPHOT without first joining the AAVSO.

We are not trying to be be mean or exclusionsary, but this program is supported by AAVSO staff and volunteers and the cloud server is paid for by AAVSO member donations. It is not free. We think $60.00/year is a small price to pay for its use. I hope you agree.

Is VPHOT OK?

I haven't been able to use VPHOT for over a week.

Files being sent but are not appearing in my VPHOT login. When I do a wider search for older dates there is nothing there either.

Have checked my end as there were some changes.....we upgraded to ACP v6. But I am advised that the files are being sent to VPHOT.

iTelescope / AAVSO accounts

Hi Peter,

You have to connect your iTelescope account to the AAVSO account again after the outage a couple of weeks ago.

I have done it for you so you should now have your images, but if others are having the same problem, go to Admin->Image Transfer and follow the instructions there.
