Sorry folks. We had numerous conflicts in scheduling, starting with that supper bowl thing interfered with our best date of Feb 2. Now, Feb 8 doesn't work. The new date/time is:

Saturday, Mar 8 at Noon-9PM (to coincide with 7th ISAN).

Same location: Land's End in San Francisco.

This should be consider the final, firm date for SF bay area.

Thanks, Mike LMK

Several people have inquired as to just where in Land's End the Memorial/star party will be held. In fact, there are 2 parking areas. The obvious one on Pt. Lobos Ave., uphill from the Cliff House, is NOT it.

The Northern lot is where it will be held. You go up (N) Camino Del Mar from Pt. Lobos Ave, about 3 city blocks equivalent. You can also park in the front lot, and walk the short distance along the trail to the Northern lot. If going by Muni bus, take #38 Geary to the very end at 48th Ave. head N on 48th, it crosses Pt. Lobos Ave and becomes Camino Del Mar.

Attached is a map showing the precise location. See you all there!

For those who didn't make it, here's a couple photos from the memorial gathering at Land's End in SF last saturday.

1. Group photo

2. Folks admiring John's very first "Dobsonian" he made, all from spare parts, odds and ends. The iconic scope that started it all!
