The Central Arkansas Astronomical Society will be hosting the MSRAL conferening next year, May 29th-31st in Little Rock.  In working up the program, and having a commitment from several professional astronomers to present on variable star topics, the question arises as to whether there is sufficient interest to merit one or more workshops.  Please respond on this forum or to me directly if you might be intereseted in either attending (if so state areas of interest), presenting (again topics), or assisting with a workshop.  The program site is located in an area that rarely sees programing on this topic, so perhaps this is an opportunity.  You need not be a member of the League to attend.  Thanks

I will be attending

It seems that I have just convinced my wife to stay in a nice hotel in Little Rock that weekend :).

We should ask Dr. Jeff Robertson of Arkansas Tech to speak.  He's an aavso-friendly professional astrophysicist who I met through ADHE (Arkansas Dept. of Higher Ed).  He seems to specialize in CVs judging from his publication record.

My interests are in variables that may be undergoing evolutionary change (mostly Miras, RV Tauri and some CVs) but I'd be interested in any variable related topics.
