- Data Validation Project - The AAVSO International Database is a living monument to the hard work and devotion of thousands of variable star observers worldwide since 1911. While both the AAVSO and its observers take careful measures to make the database as error free as possible, never had there been a full-scale systematic survey of any potential oversights, that is until the commencement of the Data Validation Project in 2002. Read on to find out about the project, past, present, and future, and how you, the observer, can help!
