    N Oph 04

    Above image of possible nova Oph 2004 taken by Doug West on 04-16-2004 09:40 UT with a 0.2m SCT and a SBIG ST-9E CCD camera. The V band image is a median combination of seven 30 second exposures. The center of the image is at 17 38 44.7 -23 25 57 and the field is approximately 29"x29". The nova was at V=10.29 at the time of the image.

    Above image of possible nova Oph 2004 taken by Dr. D.T. Durig, J.B. Harris observers 2543111.915219 JD. The image is 70 arcmin N/S by 47 arcmin E/W, N up 2 x 120sec= 4 min total exp. Taken with a 0.35 m f/1.88 667 mm Schmidt + CCD unfiltered; fit to 3012 UCAC 2.0 stars in FOV from V mag; 12.9 V +/-0.3 mag std dev.
