AAVSO RSS

Subscribe to AAVSO's RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed to get our most recent news and announcements delivered directly to your desktop!

To view the AAVSO News and Announcements feed in your RSS Aggregator:

  1. Copy this URL/shortcut:
    http://www.aavso.org/feed.xml
  2. Paste the URL into your news reader or a browser that supports RSS feeds.

How do I access RSS?

RSS/News Aggregators (also called Readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download. Many aggregators are separate, "stand-alone" programs; other services will let you add RSS feeds to a Web page. Yahoo! users can add RSS feeds to your My Yahoo! page.

Spot this feed icon in your web browser and you have the ability to subscribe to a feed using Firefox or IE7. Just click on the feed icon in IE7's toolbar or Firefox's address bar to subscribe. In Firefox, feeds will appear in your Bookmarks list. In IE7 they will appear in the Favorites Center.

What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, such as aavso.org, including headlines and links to full stories.
