Not all of my data on the LCGv2 chart

Dear all!

I've been observing variable stars just for few days and my question seems to be stupid but I haven't found an answer at AAVSO website.

I've measured SY Mon according to 'DSLR Observing Manual' and downloaded TG, TR and TB magnitudes but only TG value appeared at LCGv2 graph (LCGv1 graph shoes them all). What the reason for it? I've obtained imperfect TR and TB data and should improve my technique?

Thanks in advance!

Missing data in LCGv2

Hello Victor,

I have started to look into this but so far have not found the cause of the problem. Your observations look fine. As soon as I can find a reason, I will let you know.

Many thanks,
Sara

Problem found!

Hello again Victor,

I think I just found the problem. There is a bug in LCGv2 which prevents multiple observations with the same JD showing up (even if they are different bands) when they are the most recent observations of a star. As soon as someone submits another observation of SY Mon, all three of your observations will be visible in LCGv2.

In the mean time, you can see your observations if you click the "Preferences" button above the plot, then click the "Requested time span" checkbox. This will force the light curve generator to plot everything.

Thank you very much for letting us know about this bug. I will report this to the programmer.

With best regards,
Sara

The bug has been fixed!

Hello Victor,

Thanks to some quick work on the part of our dedicated volunteer William Goltz, this bug has been fixed. If you request the light curve of SY Mon, you will now see all of your DSLR observations.

Many thanks and best regards,
Sara

Missing data in LCGv2

Hi,

I experienced the same problem but found if I used the "zoom" function on the last several observations the "hidden" measures were revealed!. Thanks for fixing the problem.

Dave
