Yes, this object has been confirmed as a nova. We have not issued an AAVSO Alert Notice yet as we prefer to coordinate with the Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams (CBAT) and their issuing of a CBET or IAU Circular. Since the existence of this object has been public knowledge since its discovery I decided to wait for the CBAT publication to send out the Alert Notice. You may create charts via VSP and submit observations via WebObs using the name PNV J06393874+0553520.

Good observing, Elizabeth Waagen
