The previously existing BN Ori e-scale chart on our FTP site and on the CDROM was actually a reversed chart (and indicated as such when you viewed it). We have renamed the filename to reflect its status as a reversed chart and put online the regular e-scale chart in its place. So now there are BN Ori e and er-scale charts online.

November 5, 2003

The PostScript versions of the RT Oph chart have been updated to match the existing GIF versions. Also, reversed RT Oph charts have been added to the online database.

Also, the position of VX CMi on the AE CMi reversed d-scale chart has been corrected.

June 26, 2003: The AAVSO chart making process is far from idle. We have revamped our procedures and created a new chart making team. This team has been working hard over the past month to make a bunch of new charts. However, the ramp up time is long as we gain experience, work our procedures, etc. One of the things we are doing is checking the charts very closely, which also takes more time. Beginning in August the first of these new charts will be published. After that expect charts to once again be published at a pretty good sustained rate.

I'd like to remind people that for almost 2 years now the AAVSO has posted on our web site a database of all available variable star charts. This database is the one used by the online chart search engine and is always updated. It is in a TXT format that is easily importable into Excel or any other database/spreadsheet program.
