Dear Matthew and everyone,
I would like to call your attention to ATel #2487
( http://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=2487 )
which reports Fermi/LAT detection of a gamma-ray flare probably
associated with the recent outburst of V407 Cyg.
If confirmed, this would be the first detection of a symbiotic binary in gamma-rays!
Dense photometric monitoring of V407 Cyg is crucial for understanding
what is so special about this system and this particular flare.
So, as Matthew put it - please keep watching! :)
With best wishes,
Kirill (SKA)
