[AAVSO-HEN] GRB 071003

We've gotten a couple of reports from observers, giving
a magnitude for this optical transient of about R=14.5
several hours after the event.  If you look at the finding
chart from the KAIT group:
http://astro.berkeley.edu/~weidong/grb071003.finder.gif
you will see that the afterglow is very close to a "bright
foreground star" - this is the star near 14th magnitude.
The separation is only 6arcsec, so most amateurs would see
a blended object.  Be sure you are measuring the correct
object when reporting a detection.
