Indeed... a situation that would be helped a lot rapid designation of vars.  I guess working in a faster-paced environment than the GCVS folk, I don't see why "eventually" is the answer when all they have to do is grab the next number on the list and stick it on... V1078 Her is next, I think.  Especially after all the excitement over this object.

Shouldn't be a problem, I've had good luck e-mailing SIMBAD to get objects cross-referenced and ADS to get the "SIMBAD objects" field populated in a given reference.  I don't think we'd have to change anything written after publication.
