Hello Gianluca

This pixel size is good.  What is not optimal is the focal length of the 
scope.  You can defocus to get around this.

What I would reccomend for PT is as follows:
1.  Select a non-anti blooming camera
2.  Choose a field size of about 15 arc minutes
3.  Choose an image scale of 2-3 pixels per FWHM
4.  Choose the lowest noise camera you can afford

This is what typical AAVSO CCD observers strive for in their equipment 
selection.  

If you have some equipment already, you can perform PT on some of our 
Standard Stars to determine the capability of your setup.  Then you can decide if 
this is adequate performance for what you want to do.
