Most of the time, the interest is in the possible superhumps that
will be present during a superoutburst. The orbital period is
0.0944d or 2.3hrs, so minute-scale exposures are more than
adequate. Since CVs in outburst are blackbodies with little
"color", filtered or not is ok, though my preference always is
to use a V filter if the object is bright. Multifilter is
not necessary unless you can observe at U-band (always useful).
Using more than one filter decreases the time resolution for
any given passband.
