[Aavso-photometry] Separation of Double Systems

Several months ago I had very good seeing one night
and managed to get a “rare” integration of the CV
system Var Her 04 that clearly showed, without any
doubt, the two components of that system and allowed
for photometry on the two stars individually.

The night before last I was very surprised to discover
an image of the Polar QQ Vul that also clearly appears
to show the two stars of the system. In addition to
some reasonable seeing I think a more significant
contributor to this was the apparent dimming of QQ Vul
that helped to reveal it’s companion. While I did not
attempt photometry on both stars, I think I probably
could have.

I am curious if anyone else has noticed the companion
star to QQ Vul on an image? I guess I would like some
confirmation that it is possible and not some thing
else occurring.
