Yes, it is an interesting article and I'm glad someone has taken the
time to characterize things a little more scientifically.  Note,
however, they are using individual LEDs for each band and not a
white LED, which is where I have had the most objection.  In fact,
this paper ONLY describes results at V-band, where the detector response
is flat and the LED matches the center of the bandpass.  I still
feel that an incadescent source will give better results, especially
in those bands where the CCD response is changing rapidly.
   The Soricscreen material is very expensive.  We've looked at it
before and decided to go with the KPNO paint formula instead.
