Sounds like a perfect project for the 6-inch.  Noone has looked
at microvariability in cepheids to the best of my knowledge, though
I've taken time series personally without seeing anything.  One
part of the lightcurve to study closely is near minimum; all
pulsators seem to have less repeatability there and I wonder why.
   There are fainter comp stars in the field, and I've calibrated
them all.  The 3 comps were chosen primarily for the PEP folks,
but you can do ensemble with any set of stars you wish.  However,
Tim is correct in that this is a bright star, so the smaller
telescopes "win" for this project.
