[Aavso-photometry] asking about observation

Evan,

It is very nearly impossible to predict with an reliability when a UGSU will
go into outburst. The three objects you describe in particular, have quite
different outburst cycles.

YC Cnc is your best bet for observing outbursts and a superoutburst in the
time frame of your run. It has a normal outburst cycle of 6-16 days, so it's
very active. Superoutbursts occur about 134 days apart on average. It is in
fact going into outburst again right now.
T Leo only goes off about once every 420 days, and has recently been in
outburst, so your chances of observing an outburst in your observing window
are slim to none. To the best of my recollection T Leo only exhibits
superoutbursts. No regular or normal outbursts.
Both these systems will be approaching conjunction with the sun in
spring/summer, so they are not ideal in that respect.

OY Car has fairly frequent normal outbursts (2-3 weeks?), with
superoutbursts occurring 325 days apart on average.

If you want to keep abreast of up to the minute reports on these and other
CVs you can scan the Quick Look data at AAVSO:
http://www.aavso.org/data/ql/

Or check the CVnet Home Page for Recent Activity:
http://cvnet.aavso.org

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Mike Simonsen
