BRI Filter Warning Flag

I hope that I am not the only observer who forgets to
have the wheel cycle to the V filter after using the
B, R or I filter. Geezzzz, I have wasted a lot of
time and images because of this “oversight.”

As I use a SightSaver Red Laptop Screen shield
(www.idealastronomy.com/) the fix turned out to be
pretty simple.

I took a popsicle stick and attached it with a very
small bolt and nut to the top edge (vertical edge) of
the SightSaver so that I now can raise the flag when
ever I change off of the V filter and then simply
lower it when I change back to the V filter. Works
great.

While it is not innovative I did congratulate myself
on resisting another obvious improvement for a record
length of time.

I hope this provides some stimulation to any of you
who have also had this problem in the past.....
unless, of course, I am the only one.. ; )

To the Stars
