Wolfgang,
I was testing this out on a smaller number of images and the artifacts
were coming through ok because there is little else in the frame, these
being residual images. But I'm sure you are going to be right as the
number of images grows. Although, since this is just a quick look
test, you are able stretch it anyway you want.
I like the 'highest absolute deviant combine' routine! Just don't
happen to have one at hand.
