Dear colleagues,
An intermediate inspection of tonight's unfiltered CCD observations of newly
discovered ASAS 102522-1542.4 (observing session still ongoing at CBA
Belgium Observatory) yields the clear presence of single-peaked superhumps,
hence classifying ASAS 102522 as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova.
I will conduct a more detailed analysis once the observing session has been
concluded. A rough analysis (ANOVA) indicates a superhump period of 0.058 +/
0.004 d, with an amplitude of just below 0.1 mag.
Further observations are highly needed.
Best regards,
Tonny
