I have had the same problem. I did a google search and found a list of
Internet Time servers. I found a list and put a new time server in the
drop down list under Internet time (time-nw.nist.gov). It connected and
set the time correctly from this server.

Subject: Re: [Aavso-photometry] Internet Time Sync
My computer operating system is Windows XP Professional service pack 2.
Ever since I installed the Windows upgrade at the beginning of March for
the change in daylight saving time, I have not been able to synch to
either the NIST time server or the Windows Internet time server. I keep
getting the following error:
"An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with
Time.Windows.com. The time sample was rejected because the peer's
stratum is less than the host's stratum."
Anyone know how to solve this problem?
