[Aavso-photometry] Question concerning AAVSO software MagPlot and AAVSO data files

To All:

I returning to variable star observing after an absence of several years.  I'm very impressed with all of the data and tools available on the AAVSO website.  

I downloaded magnitude data for R Sct (space delimited-saved as txt file) with a goal of viewing the light curve with MagPlot.  I know that MagPlot is working because I'm able to view the light curve for the sample file provided with MagPlot.  When I try to input the R Sct file using MagPlot, I get an error mesaage that the file can be read.

I notice d that the record layout is completely different for the sample file versus the R Sct file.

Is there file conversion utility that I have to use?

Am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
