[Aavso-photometry] First timer

After weeks of preparation, I think I am ready to submit my first V and
Ic photometry (of N VUL 07). My results appear consistent with what
others are getting (I know that is NOT a criterion for submitting) but I
still have a question or two. In particular,

I'm using Maxim DL to reduce the data and the fainter companion star is
right smack in the middle of the background annulus. I understand that
Maxim lops off the brightest 10% and faintest 10% of the pixels in the
annulus, so maybe it isn't a problem?

I used the 88 star for reference and the 98 and 101 stars for checks.
The checks show a standard deviation of 0.02 mag in V and Ic. Does that
seem reasonable?
