A very nice package that includes much more analytical capability and
publication grade output is called GRACE. It's free. See
<http://plasma-gate.weizmann.ac.il/Grace/>
GnuPlot is fine for quick and dirty, it's what the Light Curve
Generator uses. But GRACE will do a lot more.
