I was only given a jpeg until just recently.
Using the FITS image, the fwhm of the stars in the region are
about 2.3-2.4 pixels. The object in question has fwhm=1.4 pixels.
It is a defect, most likely a cosmic ray. Interesting coincidence
regarding the RA!
