I've psf-fit my recent imagery from USNO-Flagstaff, with
the following results for the companion to V5558 Sgr:
RA (J2000) 18:10:17.99
DEC (J2000) -18:46:45.8
V = 12.24 (0.05)
(B-V) = 1.42 (0.04)
(U-B) = 1.25 (0.04)
(V-Rc) = 0.76 (0.04)
(Rc-Ic) = 0.74 (0.04)
(V-Ic) = 1.49 (0.04)
This is a tough measurement right now since V5558 Sgr
is so bright.
V5558 Sgr itself is at
18:10:18.26
-18:46:52.1
It is currently V=8.4 and still increasing in brightness.
The separation is 7.4arcsec.
This means including or excluding the companion will currently make
about a one-percent difference. The companion will become much
more important as V5558 Sgr fades.
