The false alarm probability is the probability that the period you find is
not a genuine period, but a spurious one.  For calculation methods see
e.g. <http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1982ApJ...263..835S>.  Period04
provides other methods to verify whether a period is real, e.g. it can
compute the signal to noise ratio of a frequency.
I don't know what is meant by the reduction factor in this context.
