[Aavso-photometry] odd observations of U CRT comp stars

Hi Yenal,
The 127 star is a suspected variable star = AAVSO 1107-06B = 127 COMP S
. It has never been properly investigated. GSC 1.2 mag = 14.8 with a
large error, ASAS data is inconclusive on variability but puts the star
around 14.3V. The star is GSC 4928-0039. I'd suggest you get lots of
data on it and see if it is truly variable. The original chart was
drawn by Clinton Ford off of a Stamford photo - I'm not sure how the
sequence came about. But it is a preliminary chart, and thus sequences
may not be that good for a number of reasons. Please report your
observations of this star under 1107-06B using a 1-star ref star, and
make sure you report what comp star you used since the sequence quality
is unknown. I'll jump on the star as soon as sky clears here.
For issues like this, you might want to check the Suspects Database at:
http://www.aavso.org/observing/charts/suspect.shtml
which may provide some more information.
Another good source of chart problems was the 'Report a Chart Error'
utility, that has now, unfortunately, been removed from the menu.
