[Aavso-photometry] Starting up CCD Obs of Variable Stars

The GCVS query form, at

http://www.sai.msu.su/gcvs/cgi-bin/search.htm

will give you the type.  E.g. V401 Ara is an RRAB.

Lower on the query page, if you click on the blue "Type of Variability" 
text, you'll get a document describing what those codes mean.  Not easy 
reading, but...
