Dear Trupti,
You submitted your observations correctly. These observations are for a star that has not
yet been assigned an AAVSO Designation. We call these "9999" stars because we give them a
temporary designation of 9999+99 until a correct designation has been given to it. Once a
new designation has been assigned, we'll update the observations you submitted and then
they will be available via the ligth curve generator. I will forward your note to the
members of AAVSO staff who assign new designations so they will get to it sooner. They will
contact you when the change has been made.
Thanks for sending the data and congrats on your first observations!
