[Aavso-photometry] New or used CCDs

Chris,

As long as it is a "suitable" CCD for photometry (some
have exposure limitations due to having a
anti-blooming feature) you should be fine.

As an example, there are a lot of the older SBIG's
instruments out there that require that your computer
have a parallel port as opposed to newer models which
use the USB standard.  These are fine instruments and
sell used today at reasonably modest prices.

If you have a specific model in mind feel free to
query the group for input and advice...  there is no
such thing as a dumb question!
