I have a 6.5MB Power Point Presentation that I
prepared for ALCON 2007 that covers the following:
What are Variable Stars?
Why Observe Them
Why Amateurs Are Needed
How Easy It is to Make Observations of VS, both
Visually & With a CCD
Some graphics from the AAVSO telescope similar were
used but quite a bit is somewhat original. It does
require that the presenter expand upon some of the
material on the slides in places but most slides are
pretty much self-contained with explanation for the
viewer to read.
It is pretty much ?technical? free and suitable for
general audiences as well as the more sophisticated
observer whose interest you might be trying to
stimulate.
I am happy to share this with any one who has an
interest in making a VS presentation at a local club
or other activity. Simply send me an email? be sure
your connection and or provider can handle a 6.5 MB
file, however.
If nothing else, it is not a bad foundation from which
to get ideas for your own personalized presentation?
feel free to cannibalize any parts you want to use.
