Of course it's not rocket science. We do that in a number of places in Mira.
For example, in the photometry package, there are 9 keywords who's names can
be specified, and the Change Keywords method in the Image Calibration tool
can setup a collection of keyword names to change and values to set and then
save that as a "profile". But I really think it is best to consider keyword
translation as being a fix rather than some type of routine task.
