Hello everyone,

Thanks to those who managed to catch SS Cyg! It has now been confirmed in
outburst. I was informed by Michael Rupen of NRAO/Socorro that the VLA
was used to make "snapshot" (~15 minute) observations, and that the
results of those would be used to judge whether to pursue longer duration,
high-resolution imaging.

I'll keep the group posted as to results as I'm made aware of them.
Continued monitoring of SS Cyg during this outburst will be greatly
appreciated -- SS Cyg had an anomalous faint outburst recently, so it will
be important to know whether this outburst also has any peculiarities.
Both visual and instrumental observations are requested.

Thanks again, and clear skies to everyone,

 	Matthew Templeton
