[Aavso-photometry] Revision of VSD/compDB database for VSP: May 15, 2008

As mentioned in the announcement over the weekend, there were a number
of stars that did not make it into the new photometry release, due
to our concern that they may have had data entry errors in the
original database.  We have checked a random sampling of the
problem stars, and decided that if the coordinates matched, but
the star ID did not, most probably the correct star is identified.
Therefore, we have made a revision today to the comparison star
database, and included photometry for a number of additional stars.
We have also included converted SDSS photometry and V-band magnitudes
converted from CMC14.

This is the only major update that is anticipated.  We will make
small adjustments, based on input from observers through CHET,
between now and when the database is "frozen" around July 1.
Only about a thousand compDB comparison stars are still missing
V-band photometry, so this version is a major improvement over
the situation only a few months ago.
