AAVSO Special Notice #149 asks for observation of a suspected eclipsing
polar, see

so I thought I would try it. Last night on a three hour run of 20 second,
unfiltered images I was watching the images pop in every 25 seconds or so.
Suddenly I noticed the target star was fading and over about 8-10 exposures,
it faded out of sight (at least at the display settings in my computer at
the time). I was looking forward to watching it re-emerge but from one
image where it wasn't visible to the next it reappeared at "full" strength.
Checking my measurements later, the star brightened just over 3 mags in
under 25 seconds. I found it very exciting. There is also a repeatable dip
of about 1 mag just before the big dip (>5 mags)(also visible in Arto's
data). I got two of the eclipses in my three hour run. Interesting star!
