For now, Option 1 is your best choice.  We are in the process of
extending your submission choices, so that you can upload data on
any star in VSX in addition to any suspect that you might have.
We'll announce when those steps are available.  In the meantime,
if the star isn't in the validation list, just request that it
be added.  There will be a delay or a day or two until the star
gets into our program, and then you can start submitting.
