Jim,

RX Lyrae is one of the Mira stars in Bulletin 72.  Its entry is here, 
about 3/4 of the way down:

According to this, it should reach maximum around August 12.  That looks 
about right based on the light curve generator.  I can't find any 
references that say it's an outburster of any kind -- it seems like a 
normal Mira.
