Jim,
It's pretty easy to format ASAS data and submit it to the database.
For a starting point, look at Aaron's powerpoint on just that topic in
the archives of the Fall 08 meeting at Nantucket, in the datamining
workshop.
I use an excel spreadsheet to format it up in the AAVSO extended
format and ship it off on webobs.
